As the 2025-26 NFL season kicks off, Vivid Seats is mapping the fan landscape across the country. Using our ticketing data, we’ve identified the most popular NFL team in every U.S. county, based on the number of tickets sold to a team’s games from 2024 to present day per billing zip code.

America’s Team Defends Its Turf
The Dallas Cowboys have carried the nickname “America’s Team” since 1979, when CBS commentator Pat Summerall used the phrase during a broadcast. The name stuck, and over the decades, the Cowboys have cemented their status as one of the most iconic and widely followed franchises in the NFL.
In Texas, there’s no question that the Lone Star State largely belongs to the Cowboys. While the Houston Texans dominate the Greater Houston area, the rest of the state proudly backs the Cowboys. Their influence stretches beyond Texas too, with strong fan bases across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and southeastern New Mexico. According to Vivid Seats data, the Cowboys are the top team in 290 counties, the most of any franchise.
Chiefs Kingdom
The Kansas City Chiefs remain one of the NFL’s most dominant and widely supported teams. As the 2025-26 season begins, the Chiefs hold the title of the second most popular team in the country based on Vivid Seats ticketing data, claiming loyalty in 262 counties. Chiefs Kingdom extends well beyond Missouri. The team’s fan presence spans into Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa, reflecting a wide regional footprint that continues to grow each season.
Fly, Eagles, Fly
The Philadelphia Eagles command fierce loyalty in their home state of Pennsylvania and that devotion stretches across state lines into neighboring New Jersey. Eagles green dominates much of the region, but their impact goes well beyond home turf. According to Vivid Seats’ Fan Forecast™ data, Eagles fans showed up stronger than any other NFL fanbase on the road, propelling the Eagles from the fourth top road fanbase to the first in Vivid Seats’ 2025 NFL Fan Loyalty Report. Their average presence at away games surged from 40% of the crowd in 2024 to 47% in 2025.
Undivided Loyalty
In some states, fandom is split among a dozen or more NFL teams. But in a few places, loyalty is absolute. Every county in Arizona stands behind the Cardinals while Massachusetts and Rhode Island are united in their support for the New England Patriots.
